SCS Cabinets custom builds wooden cabinets and cabinet doors using premium, natural wood. The material we use is a product of nature, and, as a result, variations in color, grain, and texture are to be expected. Most hardwoods that we use have a unique grain that also may cause the finish that is chosen to appear lighter or darker in different areas of the wood.
When selecting from our samples, keep in mind that your cabinetry will have the same basic appearance as the samples, but they will have a unique appearance and be noticeably different since no two trees look alike. Likewise, our samples are a close representation of what your cabinetry will look like but is not meant to be representative of the final result of every door or cabinet. Custom, hand-built cabinetry that has the unique wood qualities described above can create an inconsistent appearance from cabinet to cabinet.
Note that all finishes are susceptible to discoloration due to particles from cooking, grilling, smoke, fireplace, candles, etc. Prolonged exposure to natural or artificial light and/or moisture may alter the finish as well. If touch-ups or replacement items are needed after installation, color matching may not be exact due to discoloration.
