Lakewood Blues: Custom Cabinetry in Athens, AL

In the world of luxury custom homes, where every detail matters and no design element is left to chance, SCS Cabinets and Woodland Homes have come together to create a truly exceptional residence in the Lakewood neighborhood of Athens, Alabama. Spanning over 4,000 square feet, this home is the epitome of sophistication and timeless design, with each room thoughtfully curated to create a seamless blend of style, comfort, and functionality.

As you step inside, the kitchen immediately takes center stage, with its bold and inviting presence. The space is bathed in natural light, thanks to expansive windows that flood the room with warmth. The blue kitchen island is the showpiece of the room, painted in Sherwin Williams 3078 Shale—a rich, muted blue that anchors the space while still feeling vibrant and fresh. The light streaming through the windows highlights the island’s deep tones, creating a stunning focal point that draws the eye as soon as you walk in. Surrounding the island, the rest of the cabinetry is painted in Sherwin Williams 7570 Egret White, a soft, sophisticated hue that brings a sense of airiness and brightness to the space. The cabinetry itself is crafted with beveled shaker-style doors and full-overlay construction, offering both clean lines and a timeless appeal. Gold cabinet knobs and pulls provide a subtle yet luxurious contrast against the soft white and blue tones, elevating the design and lending a touch of opulence to this heart of the home.

Moving into the master bathroom, the continuity of design between the kitchen and bath is immediately apparent. The cabinetry mirrors the same beveled shaker-style doors and full-overlay design seen in the kitchen, ensuring a cohesive flow throughout the home. The double vanity, with its matching cabinetry, creates a sense of symmetry and balance, while two circular gold mirrors above the sinks bring an air of refinement to the space. The gold hardware, used for both the cabinet pulls and vanity fixtures, ties together the luxurious theme that runs throughout the home. Together, these elements create a master bathroom that feels both serene and indulgent, offering a true retreat from the outside world.

In every inch of this custom home, SCS Cabinets and Woodland Homes have blended impeccable craftsmanship with design that stands the test of time. From the luminous kitchen to the serene master bath, every detail is carefully considered, creating a home that is an ideal space for luxury living
