Nestled in the desirable Watson Grande neighborhood in McMullen Cove, Gurley, Alabama, one home stands out for its impeccable design and attention to detail. The kitchen and living room spaces are both functional and beautiful, with high-end cabinetry serving as the centerpiece.
In the kitchen, shaker-style cabinets with mullion detailing on the upper cabinets create a timeless yet modern look. The full-overlay doors provide a seamless, clean appearance, while the applied cabinet ends match the cabinet doors, offering a smooth and cohesive decorative finish throughout. These subtle touches add depth and elegance, creating an inviting space that feels both sophisticated and welcoming.
One standout feature in the kitchen are the cabinet bump-outs flanking the range. These thoughtfully designed features serve a functional purpose, with custom compartments for kitchen utensil holders and a spice rack on either side of the stove. This clever addition helps keep the kitchen organized and clutter-free while making essential items easily accessible for the home chef.
The cabinet colors enhance the kitchen’s serene and stylish vibe. The cabinets are painted in Sherwin Williams 7464 Crushed Ice, a soft, neutral tone that pairs beautifully with the cool, deep Sherwin Williams 9685 After the Storm on the island. This sophisticated blue hue adds a striking contrast, complementing the overall palette and creating a calm yet dynamic atmosphere.
Adding a unique touch of warmth to the kitchen are the copper hardware accents, which coordinate beautifully with the three copper pendant lights hanging above the kitchen island. These copper elements not only tie in with the dark blue of the island but also bring a sense of cohesion to the space. The rich, metallic accents elevate the kitchen’s overall design, offering a perfect balance of whimsical charm and modern elegance.
In the living room, mullion cabinets on either side of the fireplace continue the theme of thoughtful design. Painted in Sherwin Williams 7048 Urbane Bronze, these cabinets add a moody, contrasting tone to the room, providing both storage and a sophisticated focal point.
Additionally, the hallway features custom built-in cabinets with X-panel detailing. These built-ins provide ample storage while adding a unique design element that enhances the home’s overall aesthetic. Hallway cabinets are a great way to make use of typically underutilized space, and their added design flair makes them a standout feature.
This home in Watson Grande is a perfect example of how beautiful, high-quality cabinetry can transform a space—combining elegance, functionality, and thoughtful design in every detail.
