Custom Cabinetry in South Huntsville: The Estates at Morningside Mountain

Located in the desirable Estates at Morningside Mountain neighborhood in Huntsville, Alabama, the custom cabinets in this home showcase the perfect blend of style and craftsmanship. SCS Cabinets partnered with Matrix Builders to create a breathtaking space that blends traditional elegance with modern functionality.

The highlight of this project was the stunning maple wood cabinetry, which perfectly complements the overall design of the home. The cabinets are crafted with traditional shaker-style doors, offering a timeless design. These full-overlay doors contribute to a seamless look, making the cabinetry feel expansive and well-integrated into the space. For the kitchen island, we used Minwax Shipboard 403 stain, lending the wood a rich, deep tone that contrasts beautifully with the soft whites of the surrounding cabinetry.

The cabinets were painted in Sherwin Williams 7570 Egret White, a soft, warm hue that brightens the entire space. This particular shade of white works wonderfully with the gold hardware accents used throughout the kitchen and bathroom. The gold hardware—seen on the cabinet pulls and knobs as well as the faucet—adds a touch of sophistication and luxury, elevating the overall design.

The result of this collaboration is a kitchen that feels both inviting and stylish with a perfect balance of traditional charm and contemporary flair. Whether it’s the sleek, full-overlay shaker doors, the richness of the Shipboard stain, or the striking contrast of Egret White with gold accents, every detail was thoughtfully considered. With SCS Cabinets and Matrix Builders working together, the finished product not only meets but exceeds expectations, delivering a kitchen that is as functional as it is beautiful.
